The news of a field trip seemed rather like a gift to Elle, after all the changes to life in the castle due to the unfortunate disappearance on several students. Anything that got her away from mysterious dangerous portals was welcome, and the fact it involved Herbology made it that much better in her opinion. She had headed out to the greenhouses in one of the groups heading that direction, dressed in jeans, boots and an oversized sweater, her school bag over her shoulder. Inside it held her lunch, as requested, along with another little field trip participant. She wasn’t about to leave her hedgehog behind to get sucked up by another portal while she was away.
She had a smile on her face as she made her way up to the giant plastic glasses to join the professor and Skylar. “Good morning Professor Myers,” she greeted him. “Morning Skylar.” If they were sharing a portkey, she figured they might as well greet each other. Now they just had to wait for the time of departure.
