Declan was kind of toeing the line with the rules but it wasn't in his nature to abide them. At least not all the time. He thought rules were there to benefit you. If they weren't benefiting him at the moment then what was the point of it?

He was currently finding something to do around Hogwarts other than homework, sleep, or following his instincts. Guides could just shut it for a day with their whispers he didn't always fully understand. It seemed; however, no matter how he tried to avoid 'the fates that be' he was always landing into 'coincidences.'

There was a movement out of the corner of his eyes. A girl that he didn't instantly recognize (what else was new) was in his field of vision. Declan popped two more goldfish crackers in his mouth.

"You alright there?" he asked as his standard greeting. "You seem a little on edge."
