Quiet as a mouse, the creature climbed like a spider along the tendril-covered walls until it was positioned on the ceiling above the three boys that had entered its domain. It could sense their fear, which only meant that their hearts were beating faster, making their flesh juicier. Though it could not be seen from where it was watching is prey in the dark, its mouth formed a wide grin that revealed a set of razor sharp teeth.

Unable to control itself any longer, it began to salivate. Drool dribbled down from the monster's mouth and it fell onto the head of the smallest human (Carlton).

Before the humans were able to register where the source of the wetness came from, the creature began a hastened decent down from the ceiling with the intention of snatching the boy with its long, skeleton-like fingers. A long, thin tongue slithered between its teeth to lick its lips. The creature was eager to take a bite out of its appetizer...
