"You're lucky I keep a bunch of stuff in supply for Valentine's Day, because I do have purple ribbon." What could Maisie say? She was a bit of a romantic at heart. Maybe it came from working at a store that sold candy and chocolates. Whatever the reason, she managed to procure the ribbon and do what she felt to be a decent job with it. "Would that be all?" Or was he after something else as well?
Gaston beamed back at the shopkeeper.
"Yes, lucky me," he said with a slight chuckle. He wasn't expecting she would have purple ribbon, but he was pleased to learn that she did. This would make Rose so happy! He watched intently as she worked with the ribbon. She was doing an excellent job, much better than he could've done himself! He was horrible at making bows; even with a wand he never seemed to be able to get it right!
"What a beautiful bow!" he complimented her. "
I'm sure my girlfriend will love it!"
He nodded when the woman asked him if that was all.
"Yes, thank you," he replied. Then a thought occurred to him.
"Is there an extra charge for the box?" he asked, taking a few coins out of his pocket. He didn't mind paying it at all if there was!
