Months before the start of production of the second
Fantastic Beasts film, Dan Fogler met up with real-life friend and on-screen costar Alison Sudol for his official podcast (episode two, from February 11), where the two chatted of course about the film series, the current political climate, music, and much more.
During the hour-long session, Fogler and Sudol, who play on-screen love interests Jacob Kowalski and Queenie Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts series, spoke about
:
-- Sudol's early music, under the name A Fine Frenzy, and her upcoming album that will be labeled under her actual name for the first time
-- The Asian press tour for
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them back in November, notably their stops in Beijing, China, and Tokyo, Japan, and their experiences in both cities
-- The pair both admitted that everyone involved in
Fantastic Beasts was lovely and fun to work with, from the top down; Alison was really intimated by collaborating with Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood over anyone else
-- Their very passionate thoughts about the state of the political system in the United States (as both actors are Americans), including their concerns and hopes of what's to come in the future
-- Alison said she auditioned with many actors up for the role of Jacob two years ago, while Sudol was the only actress Dan auditioned against for Queenie
-- Some final thoughts at the end, including that they would see each other next on the set of the second
