Blink, blink. Ad was officially confused now! He watched the scene unfolding around him, unsure what to make of it all. All this insanity made him laugh out loud. Cats in bubbles, what next? Well, so much for the idea the the Ministry was a dull place!
His head whipped around at the sound of a voice, and he smiled at the woman standing beside him (Amelia) as she offered to take the cat. "Thank you, Miss..." he said, but his voice trailed off as he realized he didn't know her name. Apparently, the cat had other ideas, however, and leaned to the side of the bubble. The poor kitty was pawing at the bubble, obviously wanting out. Ad drew his wand to free the creature, but another man (Cosgrach) reacted first. He gave the other man an appreciative nod as he caught the cat.
Ad vaguely registered someone (Daichi) speaking to the panicked man (Airey) and... Wait! Did he just call him Professor Flamsteed? As in Professor Airey Flamsteed, former head of Gryffindor who'd taught all four of the Ryder children? Well, what a small world! Just wait until he told the kids who he ran into tonight! He started to introduce himself to the ex-professor, but a loud ROAR cut him off before he had the chance.
He looked around just in time to see one of the department heads (Becca) turn into a lioness and attempt to restore order. So apparently the cat was also a department head in animagus form... that made sense, in a weird way. Well, Ad had to hand it to the lioness!department head, that was one way to take charge!
He turned his attention back to Mr. Flamsteed as the woman he'd knocked down earlier (Eliora) called him a moron and kicked him. His eyes narrowed; he was NOT having that! "Really? He apologizes to you and you kick him?!" he said without thinking twice. Granted, he thought Flamsteed's reaction was a bit... much and he couldn't understand how anyone in their right mind could be afraid of a harmless kitty cat, but Adhemar Ryder didn't tolerate cruelty in any circumstance! "Are you okay, Mr. Flamsteed?" he asked, looking at the other man with concern.
