Healer Reed's repeated over and over again. So she was actually brave? Olivia smiled softly as her cheeks turned slightly pink. Yeah. He was right. She had been brave. Her smile grew a little more at that thought as she watched him get ready for the next part of the healing session. Right her arm. She glanced down at her arm, listening to him speak about his two possible hypotheses. Eyeing her wrist once more, she sighed and then moved back to watch the Healer move her fingers gently, bending them towards her palm. Her eyes widened at his conclusion. No broken wrist. Sweet!
When she found out that she had a strained wrist, she sighed. Oh dear. Was a strained one better than a broken wrist? She didn't know but it sounded better than a broken wrist. She remained silent and watched Healer Reed speak about ligaments. She had heard of those before. Olivia remembered them in one of the many books that belonged to her brother. He had always been fascinated with knowing everything. To him, knowledge was power.
Her eyes widened when Healer Reed took out his own wand, tapped a vial, and then a green liquid appeared out of what seemed like thin air. Weird. She blinked, watching this scene. Woah. She nodded her head at his statement that they needed their ligaments healthy so that they could do wand movements. "That would be good. I did sign up to be a member of the Dueling Club." She paused at a thought. "It won't intefere with my performance too much, right?"
She shivered as the goo touched her skin. "Will this give me superhero powers? Any radioactive materials in it?" she joked, imagining that she was going to become like Spiderman. If she could, then that would have been awesome. But before she could say anything, her eyes widened, completely captivated by the swirling goo around her wrist. Olivia smiled at his reference to Avatar the Last Airbender, touched that he would remember such a thing. That was very nice. "I can see that. I wish I could water bend like her. I can learn spells that could do the same thing but it would be amazing to learn magic without having to use a wand." She paused, noticing a slight tingling from the goo. "Is it supposed to tingle?"
The Dueling Club. Ah yes, the club that Jace dreaded since his first year. The thought of 'fighting' even if it was just practice didn't sit well with his nephew, although it seemed that he was starting to get out of his shell now that he's done with his Kendo grading.
"Good for you, Miss Holden. I'm sure you will learn a lot of things from that club." And according to Jace, Roderick is a good teacher. One of the best in Hogwarts, he said.
"The treatment, if done correctly, will not affect your performance. Just keep still and wait for the solution to disperse on its own." River grinned at the Gryffindor as he busied himself cleaning the rest of his medical supplies.
Radioactive? The Healer chuckled as he faced the young lady again and shook his head.
"I'm afraid it will not give you superhero powers. The fact that you can do magic is, I believe, enough as it is." Had she forgotten that she's a witch?
"It is quite possible to do magic without a wand...but it requires special training, and a lot of practice." River turned to the unmade bed next to him, and motioned his hand from the right to the left, and the sheets began to straighten out, until the bed looked like it was recently kept by the elves.
"Conjuring things without a wand is most difficult. I myself gave up on practising it."
