Soooo, they were working on texturing watercolors? Not realizing that the salt was required, Olivia trekked back up to the front of the classroom to collect hers. Um, sorry about the confusion, folks... Carry on, carry on...

Settling back at her workstation, still sat next to Carlton, who was working on... something she couldn't rightfully tell what, and Cassie, Liv pulled the clean sheet over to rest in front of herself. Honestly? She had no clue what she wanted to paint. She wasn't the artistic one, you see. That was all Rooney Bronwyn... but flowers? The blonde was a self-proclaimed Jedi master at flowers. Never mind that they were probably the easiest thing in existence to draw (and paint). That was very much besides the point...

Very carefully regarding the colors, the Lion quickly decided on purple. Red for Gryffindor and Blue for Ravenclaw... The perfect mixture of herself and her favorite person... Smiling faintly as she wet a brush, Olivia went about dipping it into the purple color, before putting brush to page... She thought perhaps a Gloxinia, which meant love at first sight... Even if that hadn't been the case for herself and Roo, it had built into that. So, still relevant.

Starting in the center point, she slowly began moving the brush outwardly, not actually picking it up, but nudging it? Liv was sure this technique had a name, but it was totally lost to her. After a considerable amount of purple had been spread around that small area, she go on with sprinkling the salt. Saaalt. The smell of it made her think of the beach, which was probably an odd correlation, but... At one point, she'd been a beach bum. Merlin, a day trip to surf would've done her a world of good right now. Er, right... She was getting distracted with her own thoughts again. Once she finished with that, she rewet her brush and dipped it, again, into the purple watercolor. And then started spreading it out opposite to where she'd started. Hopefully, it would all come together... in a believable circular shape. But then again, flowers weren't meant to be perfect. They had their flaws... So.. she'd be arguing that point if anyone had anything to say about it.

Ooooh, the salt WAS texturing her flower. Probably in an incorrect, inaccurate way, but... Well, she didn't know how to really paint anything else and if Professor Stewart wanted this done, she'd just have to accept what was offered here. At least, she was trying, you know?

Mm, Liv carried on with the purple for the entirety of the flower, pausing to add more salt and then get more of the purple watercolor. Once she'd completed the petals, she blew on the page, hoping to help the drying process along. She wanted to add some white and yellow, too... but they were quickly running out of time, so figured that might not be happening today. Maybe this was something she could have Rooney help her with at a later time. They had worked on that massive ballerina in his aunt's boathouse over summer...

Annnnd she kept blowing on it.
