PERSONALITY:

Ember is as bright as her name; so, very. And in many ways. She lacks in the practical subjects what she gains in the…more hands on type subjects. She enjoys happiness and being in touch with the spiritual side of the earth and animals. She thrives best with others, and does not much fancy being alone. It’s why she has SO MANY pets at her apartment.

She is very passionate about what she does and what she stands for. A Hufflepuff while at Hogwarts, she is hard working and always strives to do her best. Ember does not do anything half-way. She will see any project to the end and is DETERMINED to give her 110% in any task she sets her mind to. She is organized and tidy, and likes file folders a bit too much.

HISTORY:

Ember is the only child of George and Danda Brighten. George is a farmer who keeps a property on the outskirts of the already small town of Harrogate, England. He met Danda Babbage while they were both on a trip for their University that experimented with living simply, only using magic as necessary, and sustaining life in the simplest ways possible, i.e.: growing their own food, making their own clothes, etc…

They fell in love, decided to move to the countryside and live their lives the way they had enjoyed so much in university—simply. However, sustaining life on your own is always hard, and Danda eventually ended up taking a job in town as an accountant. And…eventually Ember happened.

Ember went to Hogwarts at 11 after a relatively normal, happy, cozy childhood. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, the same house her father, a muggleborn, was sorted into. After making extremely good marks on her OWLs and NEWTs, it was time for Ember to choose a University, and she chose to attend Dublin Wizarding University, a school that focused on nature in its studies. She was in the field of both creatures and plants, and ended up graduating with knowledge of both areas, with a bit more attention to the creatures side of things. Concentrated on the care and development of smaller magical creatures, Ember was pleased to be placed in her pest control position at the Ministry.

She worked for the Ministry until 2087, when she left to work at a long-awaited job at a Kneazle Sanctuary. She loved working there, of course, but it was a hard, dirty job. She and Dmitry Konstantinov, who also works at the MoM, decided they wanted to start having children, or least they would as soon as they got engaged. Ember, preparing for wanting to start a family, quit her job after two years and has returned to the Ministry, happy to be back! She is currently engaged and HAPPY.
