Maybe she would take it to the staff room for a change of scene and chat with any colleagues that happened to be there.
Standing up, Rooney nodded. "You too, Professor. See you in class tomorrow!" He assured that he hadn't left anything behind, also checked that Professor Newton hadn't tossed the flowers he got for her away...he had been awfully distracted and stressed before he came in here. When all that was good, he moved for the door and left the office, feeling a lot better about the choices he had to make and that he could make them for himself.
