Henry turned his attention to the painting as it was revealed from under the sheet. It was strange to say the least and he had no clue what it was called or who might have painted it. The fifth year had never seen it before. But he wasn't really into art at all, though it seemed like a lot of his classmates knew who the artist was.
The name Picasso sounded at least familiar to Henry, but that's as far as the recognition went. He wasn't so sure he could say he liked it either, though it didn't really make him feel any sort of way. He also wondered why there were so many angles and the features seemed a little off.
"Was Picasso a child when he painted this?" Henry asked after raising his hand. As in maybe a child prodigy painter since he thought sometimes very young children had distorted views of reality in their artwork. Not that he could draw or paint very realistically and maybe his artwork would come out that way. Just curious though. Ohh, maybe they would actually be learning about people who became famous as children rather than about art today.
Enough people had answered who the artist was, and he was pretty sure he heard someone say the title, which he had already forgotten, so he felt comfortable asking questions rather than answering or staying silent. He tilted his head and squinted at the painting some more. "Also, why is that part in the middle black and white, and the rest of it in bright colors?" Maybe there was a reason for that?
