.... And Cassie wouldn't be the last to do so.

Dragging her head up off the desk, Liv caught sight of her Carlton, being especially precious and ugh. He warmed her heart. This Gryffindor was so very grateful to have him. What was he saying...? She slowly resettled her head down on the desk. "Hey, you." The smile was a touch more genuine, without her having to try too hard.... BUT INTRODUCTIONS, because there was a Ravenclaw sitting with them... "Carlton... This is my friend, Cassie." She didn't plan on anyone feeling left out if they were all going to be sitting together today. Olivia wasn't rude.

Leaning over, she snugged him.

Carlton enjoyed being snugged. He smiled contently, happy he'd decided to swith seats to the back of the class after all. He glanced over at the girl Liv introduced as her friend. He'd seen around in class before of course but never actually talked to her. He was only 11 after all.

"Hello, Cassie." A small little wave at her before he continued to be snuggled by Liv. Because COZY.

“Welcome, everyone, to another Muggle Studies lesson! Before we begin, I would like to give you all two thumbs up for being punctual today.’’ She beamed around at them all fondly. Why not start the lesson off on a positive note? “If you’re not feeling it today, I hope that changes soon.’’ Her eyes found some of the students’ whom she had observed earlier that were out of it.

Right!

It was time to get a move on.

Kay placed a hand atop the covered object she was standing next to. “I noticed most of your reactions to these. Curiosity, indifference, suspicion...’’ She indicated the sheets. Quite frankly, she enjoyed the said reactions. Maybe a little too much. “I will be satisfying your curiosity for a bit now. What I have here is a…’’ The sheet was lifted. ‘’Painting. What I would like you to do when you’re called upon, is to take a guess as to the name of it and or give me the name of the artist.’’ While she waited for the hands to raise, the woman began folding the sheet.

OOC: Hiya! Please note that the lesson has began and any charrie entrances after this post will result in points deduction Simply pretend the charrie’s been there the entire time if they’re now joining. We’ll move on in 24 hours!
When class started Carlton sat up a bit straighter in his seat to watch what professor Stewart was uncovering. He sat on the edge of his seat in suspense before the professor removed the sheet and his shoulders slumped. He didn't know anything about paintings or artists. He preferred the moving portraits at Hogwarts over the art he'd grown up with.

Carlton tilted his head watching the painting with great disbelief. Was it really a famous painting? He couldn't understand why. It didn't make him feel happy or good at all.

Apparently Liv felt the same way. Mama. Heart eyes.

He looked over at Char and nodded his head in agreement. He raised his hand to add his opinion on the matter. "I don't like it either, professor. She looks sad and that makes me sad. Also, why is does she have that nose?" Wait, where was the nose? Did she even have one? Carlton leaned forward, squinting at it. The more he stared at the painting the less sense it made. "Did she really look like that, professor? That's a lot of edges on a face." He found it very hard to believe that someone had actually walked around in the world looking like that.

Also, he had no clue what the name of the painting or the artist was. But a good portion of the class seemed to have the same guess. Carlton was VERY suspicious of the whole thing.
