But I suppose you're going to tell me I was stupid for shouting, or that I'm a big disappointment to you, right?"

The only other person she had ever played the pity card on was her mom, but now it seemed appropriate to try it with Rooney. And honestly, it felt to Kitty like everyone was being unfair to her about this entire thing.

Rooney sighed as she pocketed the glasses and actually did use his wand to turn her hair back to it's normal colour. "What on earth made you think that you could stay under the radar looking like that?" His face softened and he offered his friend a smile, because she was already having a rubbish few days and he didn't need to immediately add to it. Plus, his smile was one of the best. Or so his Mama said...

He let Kitty just talk at him, and stuffed his hands into his own robe pockets whilst he listened. "Perhaps you should call her Professor Newton outside of her office," he started with a raise of his eyebrow. "And I don't think anything Natalia says will make them hate you. You did that for yourself already, but you already knew that." And he wasn't going to dwell on it too much. With a sigh, he offered her his arm. "Let's walk, Kits."

Because this was going to take some time and he already needed to get her out of the view of anyone that wanted her guts for garters right now. "Yes, I'm disappointed with you. Because you shouted at another student for being offended by something you said. Kits, you didn't listen to anything anyone was saying." Including his girlfriend and one of his closest friends. "But I get it.. People say things and don't think about the fallout afterwards." He, himself, was definitely one of those people. "You just need to think more before you even open your mouth... Just stop talking so much. It's fine to have an opinion... But if you're not going to say 'no offence', then...you already know you're going to offend someone."
