Juno stared at Kitty with such confusion. Where was she getting her facts? She was obviously misinformed about something somewhere. When Kitty stalked out of the classroom she quickly rolled her eyes and raised her hand. When she was called on she replied with, "Obviously Prefect Valentine has missed some information about SalaZar Slytherin," she accented the Z because Kitty kept saying it with a TH sound where the Z should be, "Though, yes, he did create the chamber and hid the basilisk down there, he never RELEASED the basilisk into the school. He never killed any children. The INTENT was there but the action was never produced. Because the other founders disagreed with him, he locked the door of the chamber, left the school FOREVER, and the only way to open the door was with the snake language. No one discovered the chamber until hundreds of years later when VOLDEMORT opened it and killed muggleborns. Therefore she has no right to say that Slytherin was a child killer when he never killed any students, Voldemort did. TWICE. So she has either not done her research properly or has been misinformed." At this point her face was so red with anger she looked like a stop sign.
Juno flipped her hair before continuing, "With that said, putting a stigma on the Slytherins even though 'you don't mean to offend anyone' is offensive. Putting a stigma or label or stereotype on any house when you 'don't mean to offend anyone' is offensive." She paused, taking a deep breath, and continued with, "Also, Helga Hufflepuff was the person that arranged for House Elves to work at Hogwarts so they wouldn't be mistreated or abused." She sat back down, folding her arms across her chest, realizing at some point in her rant that she had stood up.
Kitty was a nice person....but she was clearly misinformed and shouldn't have been speaking about this at all.
