Skylar was listening and jotting down a few notes. Only a few, because most of this stuff so far that the Professor had mentioned was facts that she already knew thanks to parents and siblings and other older friends and family.
Next question was regarding what they know of each of the four founders, and well Sky was rather amused because before the Professor asked the question, she prefaced it with a description of what each founder valued. Well cross that off the list for things she knew about the founders. She smiled though when Hattie listed something about her house founder, rather than Helga Hufflepuff. Slowly but surely, she might have been converting Hattie to an honorary Slytherin. Doubtful, but Skylar could hope. Although technically it was she who messed things up by not being sorted as a Hufflepuff, but what could she say? She'd found Slytherin wasn't too terrible and her dormmates were pretty awesome
Though Salazar Slytherin did have lots of interesting facts to say. Sticking her hand in the air, Skylar added onto what Hattie and Nat started. "Within that Chamber of Secrets, there lived a basilisk, which Salazar was able to control, because he was a parselmouth. Parselmouths is the rare ability that gives wizards the ability to talk to snakes."
