Cooking! Hey-that was actually the perfect idea. "I've helped before, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert or anything. Also, I haven't really made anything on my own." The closest she'd gotten was assisting Ethan and she'd marked it as a personal cooking victory for herself at the time, but he'd done most of the hard work. "Shall we have a bake-off?" Because that could be a lot of fun. She propped her chin on her hand and smiled big, eyes on him. "Oh, it was definitely fun," Sam agreed. And he, too, enjoyed the opportunity to observe her during that time. It was one of the reasons he wanted to try blind contour drawings with Junia in particular.
Ding ding ding. Had they found something where they had an equal chance to win this competition? Sam had helped a few times before while his dad had cooked (his mum wasn't the best in the kitchen), but other than that he'd really never cooked anything on his own. "Excellent, I think we've found our new competition, then." Hey, that was easy.
A small, crooked smile returned to his face when she propped her head on her fist and looked at him like that. It was the cause of the butterflies that were now in his stomach, and it felt as though no one else was there in the shop with them. "Yes. A bake-off it is."
