Jace lifted his head, and placed the tea cup down, and shut his book with a dull thud. He knew it was a hopeless case. He knew that he won't get his work done if the environment wasn't right. Jace itched to leave his table and run back towards the castle when someone came by to ask if the seat was taken. Without looking up, Jace tilted his head...wondering why that voice sounded so familiar. "No, that can't be possible. She's in America right now...and--" When the half Japanese boy finally looked up, Jace could swear that the gears in his head got stuck.
Wait, what is going on?
"A-Azura?" Without second thoughts, Jace got up to his feet and hugged his best friend. "What...what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in school?" the Ravenclaw released his best friend and looked at her. "What...happened?" Jace gave her a good look from head to toe and noticed that she didn't look well. Should he run up back to the castle to fetch his uncle?
Azura had a smile on her face as Jace looked up and saw her, she put her arms out for a hug and she hugged him back tightly, inhaling his familiar scent for the few moments they were close.
Fwoopers she had missed him so much.
"Yeah it's me. " She said sigh a warm smile as he released her from their hug and she got the chance to look him over as well. He looked good! She was happy about that. And had he gotten taller? Her purple orbs raked over him one more time before convincing herself that he was okay.
Good.
She smiled at his questions.
"I'm back! I came back early, America didn't agree very well with me. " She explained. She had gone to her mother's hospital room last week in tears, nearly begging to be able to go back to Hogwarts.. she hadn't been eating much or sleeping and every night she had cried herself to sleep..
But no one knew that.
"My mom is better, so I came back. " She said finally. |
