"Hey!" She called out... inching a bit closer to the swirling lights and underlying noises of danger. Her legs were almost moving on their own accord... Or perhaps it was her subconscious that had decided to investigate. Could one's subconscious make limbs move without the person knowing? ".... What.... What is this?" It was a hushed question.

Leon was edging closer and closer to the vortex, trying to see what was in there, was anyone else in there? The seventh year had a mind to go in and see if he could help out..

Perhaps his Gryffindor side was taking over for a moment? Or perhaps it was just the hum of the portal, but the grey eyed boy was clearly not thinking with the logical side of his brain..

A hand automatically went out to the side as he heard a voice, almost as if he was blocking her way through, he didn't want anyone hurt.

"Hey. " He said without turning his head, he was feeling like he was fighting with himself, to turn around and leave or to walk through the portal..

"I don't know, but I'm going to check it out.. Perhaps you should go get a teacher?" The dark haired boy finally turned to look at the younger blonde girl. "I'm going to go check it out. " He said with a nod.

"Obviously I can't tell you what to do, I'm no one of consequence, but just.. be careful. " He warned before he took a deep breath.. and stepped through the portal..
