HUFF! Olivia had forgotten her History of Magic textbook in the Gryffindor dorms... which was doubly frustrating, given that she'd been trying to finish a three page essay. Sigh, she'd been so distracted and scattered since returning this term, and it was taking a lot not to just give up. That struggle was very real. Everyday.

Anyway, this was how she'd stumbled upon this very.... peculiar scene. The stones ripping apart like tissue paper, the strange flashes of light.... The sounds. It seemed to be alive...

....And there was a boy standing nearby it. One Liv had become familiar with in lessons and around the castle. A much older Ravenclaw... Huh. He appeared to be... entering the vortex? Could it be called a vortex? It did look otherworldly.

"Hey!" She called out... inching a bit closer to the swirling lights and underlying noises of danger. Her legs were almost moving on their own accord... Or perhaps it was her subconscious that had decided to investigate. Could one's subconscious make limbs move without the person knowing? ".... What.... What is this?" It was a hushed question.
