With a filled metal tray in hand, River went back to where Olivia and Imogen were, and gestured Olivia to take the bed. "Please, make yourself comfortable." he said to the Gryffindor lady, as he placed his supplies on the bedside table and summoned his examining stool. "You too, Imogen. You may take the chair...however, it isn't the most comfortable one in the whole school." And it was meant to be uncomfortable for certain reasons.

River went back to Olivia with an amused grin on his face, clasping both of his hands in front of him. "Surely, it wasn't. But if you were given the chance, I am sure you will take up on the offer." He said picking up a small bottle from the table and dipped a clean dropper in it. "I believe it is still being practised...by a small group of Healers both in the wizarding and muggle community. Although, I am led to believe that it is done in cases where conventional healing treatments aren't applicable." he said as he lifted the dropper from the bottle with the hazy solution, "It is quite logical since we, as organic beings, should turn to nature for healing." Not a lot believed him, of course, but that was his take anyway.

"Alright. Here I've got a salt solution. I need to apply it to the leeches so it would let go of your skin." River tilted Olivia's head to the side, and applied a few drops of the solution on it. The leech started to writhe, and River was quick to catch it in a clear jar. As expected, Olivia started to bleed, and River immediately applied a very damp patch of cloth to her wound. "Murtlap Essence. Should do the trick." he said as he rubbed it gently against her skin until the wound was gone.

River examined the jar, and noted how bloated the leech had become. "You've been too generous, Miss Holden." he said, showing the jar to her. "Now, the other one. If you could please show me." Left or right shoulder was it?
