As long as the students come back out healthy from his facility, then his day would be made. River grinned at the young Slytherin, and gave her a nod. “And it is my honour to be of service to each and every Hogwartian. Thank you, Miss Botros.”

Samuel’s sneeze caught his attention, and this prompted the man to get started. With a quick flick of the wand, the used towel folded itself and soared straight to a metal bin nearby. When the students started their conversation, River went on to do the first step of the healing process by spreading a mildly pungent paste on Sam’s injured arm. It took only moments to react, and River was able to see through the boy’s flesh, allowing him to perform the healing spells more accurately. The Healer started off my tracing the bruised muscles around the bone, making sure that none of it were torn or damaged. He then moved to the broken bone by slowly aligning the fractures, and sealed it with a regenerating spell, making a small popping sound. But before River wiped the pungent paste, the Healer started to prick Sam’s finger pads with a blunt needle to see if his arm muscles did a reflex. Satisfied, he then pushed Sam’s hand backward and then inwards to see the muscles stretch and retract as it should.

River kept his focus as he cleaned up the nasty paste, and wrapped Sam’s healed arm in a bandage and splint. “Ferula.” And they were done. “Good as new, Master Chevalier. However, you have to keep the bandage for the next 14 hours so as not disrupt the regenerating spell inside your arm. You might also want to take it easy the next two days—give your arm the time to fully heal. You don't want to miss Hogsmeade.” He said giving them both a shrug. “Alright, once the numbing potion wears off, you may go.” River added as he grinned at the two students and turned to the bedside table to clean up everything, placing used clothes into the metal bin nearby, and empty vials and bottles on the metal tray.

She was pretty sure you could use it on damaged trees as well, which she found quite interesting. "That'd didn't take long at all," She commented thoughtfully. "I'm impressed." Also happy they wouldn't have to hang around the hospital wing all day.

After smiling at the older man, the third year turned her attention to her friend and let his hand go. "When you're ready, I could walk you back. Make sure you don't trip up the stairs or anything. We can't have you getting hurt twice in one day." She wouldn't allow for such things.
As Healer Reed worked magic (har har) on his arm, Sam kept his focus on Junia. He nodded, glad to hear that this Abey boy was in somewhat better spirits. It'd be such a drag to hate your own house throughout your entire academic career at Hogwarts.

Junia was right - it was very impressive how quickly and efficiently their healer fixed his arm. Not long at all! "Thank you very much, sir," Sam said earnestly to the man before nodding in understanding that they could basically go now. Since this numbing potion was starting to wear off.

He gave a grin when Junia suggested she walk him back. "It's my arm that's regenerating, not my legs." One mishap on the swings and he was already labeled as clumsy! "I'll walk you to yours instead, if that's all right."
