"I know the feeling. I haven't proper lived in London in...two years?" And before that, her residence here was pretty spotty as she often hopped from home to home. "I used to see bits and pieces of the world in a night. I suppose I still do but not as often and certainly not enough." Suffice to say, she couldn't wait for Emmerson to be even remotely apparition size. "You should definitely see Spain though! It's brilliant. My favourite of all my residences." There was just something about the place and something about the people. "What's stopping you exactly?" She wouldn't take the excuse of children. Apparition took seconds and the way she heard it, the children had a capable hand to watch them. Didn't need to be a long trip. Lex found that even the small ones were better than all London all the time.
And there it was again, the whole 'it's all worth it in the end' bit that absolutely everyone felt they needed to say to her at least once. "So I've heard." She muttered, sparing a glance down at the baby who hadn't given up her futile pursuit of the file. "But I never really see to the end of anything. My vision doesn't stretch that far." Alexa had always been one to see things in the immediate present tense. If it wasn't right before her, it was a very hard concept to grasp. This usually left her unable to consider consequences until they were too late while allowing her to enjoy a moment without worrying about the future. It was a double edged sword in truth. It was nice to know that there was someone else who could relate to her. Well, minus Archer. Of course HE did, but then he was a traveller like she was and hated staying in one place for too long. People were often shocked when they learned that Gabby and her husband lived in a magical tent. Of course there was also a house, but no one lived there currently besides Aoife and Rory, the tent set up in their backyard. Somehow it worked for them and she absolutely loved it. "I hadn't lived here until I got pregnant with Valeria. I lived in Rome until I met Archer and we travelled to different places together." It was absolutely amazing. "What places have you been to?" Besides Spain obviously. It would be nice if the had been to the same countries.
Spain would be on her list though Gabby honestly had no idea when she and Archer would be able to go there with the family. "What spots there would you recommend?" Obviously there would be a lot of tourist spots, but she didn't want to waste time doing anything that wasn't worth it in the end. Things like going to the beach were her kind of thing. That and shopping. Lots and lots of shopping. "I'm not sure about muggle transportation and so I'm hesitant to try it. I know they have planes, but I'm wary." Air travel with people who couldn't do magic made her nervous when her husband and children were involved and she hardly EVER felt nervous.
Nod. Gabby got that paren in could be like that; it was hard enough doing this for her, and she wasn't doing it alone. "Well, if you ever need advice or help or anything you can ask me." Even if there were other people who could do that too, she was still offering. |
