He decided to draw his wand just on the off-chance something shifty this way came.
Finally, he reached a circular room. "Duuuuuuude," he said aloud, looking around the place. This had to be the most perfect room in the entire castle. He wasn't even sure a speck of dust stood a chance up here. Brent didn't see the headmistress at this point (was she going to like, pop out or something?), so he stepped further into the office and fought the urge to just pick up everything in sight.
He leaned in closer and studied this really cool looking ancient artifact. Was that an ashwinder egg?! ...and WHAT even did that skeleton belong to? Moving along, he leaned over and looked at...something else. "Stevie Nicks," he read aloud. Whoever that was... Brent was seriously lost in thought with all the cool things in here. He had to tell Kane! Regina finished the section of the paper that she was reading and folded it up before placing it on a side table. She remained seated for the moment, waiting until she heard the former Ilvermorny student to enter the office. It took all of her might to not quietly roll her eyes when the familiar voice sounded a classic 'Duuuuuuude' that belonged to the one and the only Brent Westwood.
By the time she had risen from the sofa and had walked out from the sitting area from behind her desk, the headmistress noticed that it did not talk long for the American boy to start examining her treasured belongings. She stopped and rested a hand on the arm of her desk chair, simply observing Brent lean over her ashwinder eggs and then her records.
A short laugh managed to escape her mouth when he read off the name Stevie Nicks and seemed lost in thought. "She was a famous singer-songwriter who's solo career began in the 1980s. Very talented witch who was popular in both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds," she explained with a smile. There was a pause before she added, "How are you enjoying Hogwarts so far, Mr. Westwood? And how is your brother adjusting?" Quote:

Thankfully though, it did let him through and the Gryffindor steadily made his way up the spiral staircase with his quill and notepad in tow. With any luck this would be a very brief meeting and the small amount of peace the boy had found at this place wouldn't suddenly be dislodged.
Getting to the top, it became apparent that knocking wouldn't be necessary. Talk about an open door policy. "Er..." Blaise stuck his head through the doorway, peering in cautiously. Having found the Headmistress at her desk, the rest of the boy soon followed along. "Afternoon Headmistress. I was wondering if you had a bit of time to discuss my grudgingly magical future." Which pretty much involved past arrangements the boy prayed had been passed along to her.
Just gonna...stand here and admire her face wait to be invited to sit. Manners and all that. But also, if his arrangements DID keep happening, the boy was looking at special alone sessions with her at the end of every week and he'd be the dirtiest liar in the world to say he saw any problem with that. On the contrary, this was looking real promising--except...except if he couldn't actually perform the spells required (because of nerves you know??????) and she thought she was a complete idiot.
Well...that certainly changed things. Various student files were stacked on her desk. Of course she had read them before, but it was time to properly match faces with the names written on them now that school was well underway. At the moment Blaise stuck his head through the doorway, the woman had been reading up on one of the Ravenclaws. When his voice sounded, she tucked the papers away and closed the file.
"Come on in, Mr. Bellaire," Regina said, her expression non-changing as she motioned at one of the chairs in front of her desk and then waved her hand over the file. It placed itself at the top of the pile, and a different file that read Bellaire, Blaise L. scooted out from the middle of it.
While the boy got himself seated, she took a moment to review everything that he been documented on him. The details quickly flooded back into her mind, remembering that this was a rather peculiar predicament. "I would like to begin this meeting by discussing the past arrangements that have been made for you," she stated as the sand in her unique hourglass slowly started to fall. "From your own perspective, explain those arrangements, how helpful they have been, and if there have been any improvements in your academics."
