Rhibear ~ Madam Solo ~ Dark Brooding Girl ~ Accio Jedi ~ Gryffinclaw ~ Just a doll Gaston returned Rosalyn's smile, though that sad worried look didn't quite leave his eyes... and wouldn't until he was positive she was alright. He shook his head as she told him he was doing enough. It was sweet of her to say, but he didn't believe it himself. "I just wish I could do more," he whispered, squeezing her hand a little tighter. "I can't stand seeing you sick!"
It was just after that River came back with a potion and something under a cloth. Gaston blinked. What was that thing? And why was it hidden under that cloth? It wasn't going to hurt his Rose, was it? But there wasn't time to think about it now. The dog nudging his legs jerked him out of his worried thoughts. What was that for?! At first he thought the dog was just being unruly... until River explained what that meant. He laughed a bit, inclining his head toward Roscoe. "Yes, sir," he said and quickly set about tucking the blankets tightly around Rosalyn. He wanted to give her a little 'goodnight' kiss, but somehow he didn't think River would approve of that!
Tucking her in wasn't supposed to be his cue to leave, was it? Because there was no way that was happening! He returned to his seat, listening intently to what River was saying about measuring potions, but he couldn't help but notice the look the healer was giving him. Why was he looking at him that way? He didn't think he caused Rosalyn's sickness, did he? Suddenly Rose gagged and Gaston instinctively poured a glass of water and handed it to her. It was only after that it occurred to him that he might be overstepping... or that the water might counteract the potion. He hoped he hasn't caused any harm!
