For a fleeting moment, the first year sincerely thought that HE was somehow managing to perform wandless magic and making his books levitate into place...but his brain quickly caught up with his optimism and that thought faded. It WAS a bit silly to think that someone who could hardly perform Accio would be able to do wandless magic...and unintentionally so!

Although...those first manifestations of magic by really REALLY little kids was wandless...
