"Fine..Olivia and Clara are the exceptions, but you can switch with Clara. Blaise can pay her five knuts when she needs to gain access to the common room...but right now..since the exchange hasn't been made official yet, you'll have to pay."
He offered her a dimpled smile...sweet as possible.
"Come on As, pay up."

"That's not a thing, don't even listen to him." And if she didn't, she was paying for herself. What did he look like? If he was willing to pay for her in the first place, did they think she'd need to be an exception??
"I think we all just need to stop overthinking this situation and, y'know, pay what's owed and just move on with our lives."
He'd already said this. Clearly they just weren't listening.
Aslan had learned many things in her lifetime, but the most valuable of lesson for Aslan Evans was the power of remaining silent. Silence, spoke volumes over any words. It was an empty space in which most would squirm in and that squirming was where you'd find out what kind of person you were looking at. It also helped in cases like this, for Aslan knew with certainty that if she answered simply and let the boys do the talking they would give her just the right leverage.
"I understand Clara's exception." Aslan stated, once again her dark eyes moving from cousin to cousin, inspecting them both in her usual way. "But neither of you are snogging Olivia Phillips, so why is she an exception to the rule?" She asked simply, ignoring the boys' echoes of
pay up
They were so impatient, they were so boyish..
