Falling never hurt anyone after all. It was always the impact that hurt the most. "Hmm.. I could give that a try that sounds better than trying to practice balance by flying. Healer Reed suggested that I should learn how to fly," she said, still a little uncomfortable by that idea.
The Forbidden Forest. She had heard of that place. Her brother had warned her not to venture in there unless she had a death wish. This reason only made her want to go there and see what the whole big fuss about was anyway. "Has anyone gone in there recently? What happens if you go in?" she asked, very curious by this.
18 by Halloween? He was old. Ancient. Clearly ancient. But cute for an old guy. She smiled. "Eighteen? Wow," she stated. She couldn't imagine being eighteen. That was four years away and she planned on living all those four years to the full extent. Being eighteen meant that you'd have to be an adult and do adult things and not use kid excuses, which seemed rather unfortunate to Olivia. "Are you excited to be eighteen?" Hearing that he also wanted to spend more time with her in the future brought a giant grin onto her lips. Fantastic. She liked making new friends. "Definitely! I'll only be seven flights above your common room!" she grinned. Seven flights of stairs wasn't too much going down but climbing up all of those... Merlin's Beard. It was a giant feet for someone of her height.
She paused, nodding at his thought. She was certain that the magic kept it looking good but Oliver did have a point. It could have been the nature too. "Perhaps its both?" she offered. "What's your favourite season out here?" "I never even thought about flying but that makes sense too." Oliver actually had pretty good balance on a broomstick, but that was because he used to play quidditch before he started at Hogwarts. While he didn't play much now, he still made time to get on his broomstick every so often. "But since you don't sound too keen on flying, if you ever want company when you run, let me know. I go running every day." At this point, it was hard for Ollie to imagine a time when he didn't run so often. It had already been two years since he and Brian had decided to go running instead of letting all of the food get to their bodies. He never regreted a minute of it.
Had anyone gone in there recently? It was forbidden.... But Oliver had a feeling if this girl was asking, it was because she wanted to be one of the next to venture in. That wouldn't end well. "Um, I'm not sure if any student has gone in there without supervision? I know you get detention if you go in, not sure how long though." Honestly, Oliver never worried himself with the details of it all because he was a rule follower. He never really had any interest in breaking rules, especially not to go into a creepy magical forest. For all he knew, the forest would eat him whole and no one would ever notice he was gone. ~MAGIC~ ANCIENT?!?!?!?!? Olivia's reaction was cute and it made him smile. Eightteen really had come really fast. His years at Hogwarts had seemed to drag on and on but his age just kept going up...which probably didn't make sense, but that was how Ollie felt. "I actually didn't realize my eightteenth birthday was so soon, but yeah, I am excited, I guess?" He had been so excited for seventeen because he'd be able to apparate, and so he didn't spend much time thinking about the birthdays to come. "I'll be officially legal in all of Europe, which is really kind of cool." Who didn't want to be a legal adult, right?? "Yeeaah...maybe we can meet halfway or something? Library is on the fourth floor and I'll be doing loads of studying this term." And there was a great view at the desks over by the windows which he often got distracted by, so they could hang out there...or anywhere else. Oliver just hated walking up all those stairs. The minute he didn't have to take Astronomy any more (even though he enjoyed Professor Flamsteed teaching it), he was ecstatic. Now he rarely ever walked up that high unless it was to see his twin sister.
He smiled and nodded. She was right, it could be both of those things. "I think my favorite season is autumn. I like the colors of the leaves and the weather. It's never too cold around here in the autumn."
