It seemed that she was being taken up on the offer immediately. Good, because there was clearly something wrong if aggressions were being taken out on a poor tree. "Yes! I did try!" Trixie quickly stopped herself from bursting into a tirade and took a deep breath. The Professor was on her side and was trying to help her.
"Sorry Professor." She gave the woman an apologetic look and used her good foot to scuff the dirt, making circular patterns.
When did life get so crappy? She often sat around trying to think what she had done to cause her parents to turn on her like this? Was this some sort of life lesson that they were trying to teach her?
"She was too busy to listen to what I had to say. I don't know, maybe there is something different I should do?" Trixie looked at the Professor with a hopeful expression in her face. Would she have the answers?
