Uh, maybe a student needed an assistance or something.
Opening the door, Jordan saw a girl brought a parchment like a letter or something. "Hello. Can I help you with anything Miss....?" Damn, he needed to learn the new student's names. Hazel waited.. well.. mostly patiently, bouncing on the balls of her feet and glancing at the dog every so often. But, when the door opened and the professor addressed her, she couldn't help but grin profusely. "I'm Hazel Martin-Pryce," she said almost immediately. He obviously didn't know her name, which was quite alright, because how could professors know each new student on sight so soon. "My dad is Tiberius Pryce and he's the director of a golden snidget sanctuary and he said I should give you this as soon as possible." The redhead had continued almost breathlessly, pausing only to hold out the parchment, which was folded and sealed with wax. Hazel did not know what it said. "Your dog is really pretty. What's it's name? Can I pet it?" Hazel knew it was always best to ask. She eyed the parchment and then looked back up at the teacher. He'd read it now, yes? SPOILER!!: the letter Dear Professor Hernandez,
I hope this letter finds you well at the start of term. I wished to write to you at the start about my daughter, Hazel, who I suspect has brought this letter to you at the earliest possible moment. Hazel is quite enthusiastic when it comes to creatures and their care and I thought it best to explain some things that may seem unusual.
She has grown up on the grounds here at the Colchester Golden Snidget Sanctuary and so has become quite familiar with the proper handling and care of small and delicate creatures.
She is not lying when she says she's met a unicorn. A colleague arranged a visit to a sanctuary as a birthday gift. Some have accused her in the past of making that up.
She is currently fascinated by flying horses and will likely inquire how she can assist with those that may be at Hogwarts. She has less experience with big creatures but has been around them, as another friend and colleague has allowed her to go with her to work. Hazel has, however, been informed that she is to follow whatever guidelines and restrictions you may have for who is permitted to work with what creatures.
Please accept my gratitude for your work with Hazel this year. I know that her eagerness and enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for those who are not familiar with her, but it comes from a place of genuine fascination.
Do not hestitate to let me know if there's anything I, or the staff at CGSS, can do to support your work at Hogwarts.
Warm regards,
Tiberius R. Pryce
