Having to share the same floor as Gaston's has its perks too. During his student days, there was no such thing as Bistros...or unusual places to hang out inside Hogwarts. Although most of the rooms and decorations are still the same, introduction of new rooms such as Gaston's bistro was very welcome. Not the type to coop himself up in his office, River took another quick inspection of his ward, placed all the necessary protective charms on the doors, and took a few calm strides to reach this special nook.

Merlin, Gaston outdid himself this time, hmm? He should've brought Roscoe and Bumi along, but he had a feeling that Gaston won't be a fan of flying fur; shedding month and all. River showed himself in and made a beeline for the tea. He made himself a cup, and gathered at least three pieces of madeleines. It looked like it was the healthiest option out of the bunch anyway. After gathering his snack, he made himself comfortable in one of the chairs and took a sip of his tea.

Well...it wasn't anything special. Just...ordinary tea, which is fine. He didn't expect Gaston to have a wide array of teas because that was him. He's the King of Tea. Tea Master. The Uncle Iroh of Basing Se. Yep.

River took a bite of his snack, and nodded in approval. Welp, he should've brought something to read at least. He felt rather awkward sitting there all by himself.

Being up on the sixth floor had it's perks. There was a lovely view of the grounds from her office which was undoubtedly her favorite part of it. One problem was it was far from both the Great Hall as well as the kitchen should she get hungry and even though she did offer some snacks outside her own office it was nice to get away from there from time to time.

Camilla had heard all about the special rooms some of of her colleagues had set up. Having some free time this morning she choose to check one of these places out. Starting with The Bistro on the third floor. Relaxed even strides brought her closer as she made her way down the hall, Bonsai following alongside her as per usual his ears flicking at each sound.

Pushing the door open and stepping inside Cami took in the small but very nicely set up Bistro. Gaston most certainly knew what he was doing when he decorated in here. She made a mental note to compliment him on it as well as to tell her cousin to check it out. Light brown eyes fell upon the only other person in the room and she smiled warmly. "Hello, River. Enjoying the quiet?" she asked conversationally making way for the coffee. Fixing herself a cup and collecting a Macaron or two.

A quick glance over her shoulder showed that her furry companion had trailed off to inspect River just as she expected him to. Bonsai had sat himself down close by and was watching the man, tail flicking back and forth excitedly. "Oh, don't mind him he assumes everyone will play with him." It was how the cat was. Incredibly friendly and attention seeking.

River quietly chewed on his snack, his mind obviously somewhere else as he looked out the window. Mentally, he arranged his tea collection in his head, and wondered what kind of infusion he will do next. Some of the mixes he made were hits...while most were misses and he felt a bit bad vanishing a cup of wasted tea.

It didn't take long for him to have company, and River was quick to look at the newcomer, and offered his colleage a warm smile, "Hello, Camilla." he said nodding his head toward her and waited for her to join him. "Definitely yes, if you meant a peaceful hospital wing." he chuckled as he picked another biscuit and popped a piece in his mouth. After sipping his tea and putting back his cup on the saucer, River looked up at Camila and returned the question. "You? How was your first day of teaching?" he asked curiously, obviously wanting to start a nice conversation with her.

If the Transfiguration professor didn't hint that she was not alone, River would've totally ignored her pet. Blinking, he looked down at the floor and grinned at the cat that stared back at him. "So this is Bonsai?" he asked without averting his gaze from the cat. River instinctively reached out a hand- palms up, inviting the cat towards him. "You should meet Roscoe and Bumi some time, I had to keep them in my office for now since they are shedding so much at the moment." How many times had he vanished mountains of fur this morning? He lost count already...
