"I'll check the area." She stepped away from her partner, using her wand to wordlessly reveal any curses or hexes or traps set for them right off the bat. Nothing seemed suspicious yet, but perhaps they had to get lost in the forest before getting too challenged.
Though, as soon as the thought left her mind, she noticed a thick fog rolling in and she suddenly couldn't see more than a few inches in front of her. Evangeline turned her head back in the direction she came in. Except... well, she /thought/ that's where she came from. Her sense of direction suddenly became completely disoriented within seconds. "Angelo?" she said out loud, hoping that he was still just a couple feet behind her. She had planned on doing this WITH him, you know. A nod from Angelo and he did exactly that. Now with the door acting as a beacon, at least they could use it to get their bearings and be sure any direction they went in would be consistent. He noted Evangeline checking the vicinity and didn't question her on it - he trusted her. He knew she knew what she was about.
The fog though.... was unpleasant to say the least. It smelled a little... off. "I'm here." He cast a bubble head charm on himself just to be sure that whatever the fog was, he'd not have any issues with breathing. The impervius spell on his gear would likely be enough to keep it from having any potentially negative contact effects, if it was more than just a regular fog.
Just as he reached Evangeline an eerie wail broke through the fog and then went silent.
Well then. "That sounded like a banshee." He commented quietly. "But we aren't dead." So.
....... was there a boggart in the forest, or was it actually a banshee that had been constrained in some way? Perhaps the second, for safety reasons? Or maybe a juvenile banshee. One that wasn't quite strong enough to kill yet.
