As he stood in line behind a Girl (PhoenixRising) he rocked on his heels and played around with his wand in his Wand Sheath that was stitched and sewed into the side of his small fake-leather man-purse handbag after a second visit back to Ollivanders with his Adoptidad resulted in the man's brilliant idea to secure his wand into an easy accessible location for him to get it rather than uncomfortably letting it rest on his waist.

He tilted his head and looked past the girl in front of him to listen in on a boy who was probably back on his second trip for sweets. The speech and topics he was going on about...oh he said his Dad was the Former Accidents and Catastrophes Department Head. "H-Hi Derf." he muttered out loudly to grab his attention
It wasn't long before the queue started up behind her and now she was surrounded it seemed by TWO hyper young peeps. Not for long though because he peeked past her to say hello to the loud boy in front of her. Were first years always this hyper and excitable? And if so, why were they given moneys for sweets? Which brilliant parent's idea was it to send children off with money to a boarding school to drive their peers and professors insane?

Rolling her eyes, she took a step forward as she spotted Natalia step away because she was now done. Good. The line was moving.

But the line was awfully long, and he slowed to a stop once he reached the end. Taking a glance down the line towards the front, he could see several of his friends and people he knew in general way up ahead. He'd have to say hello when they weren't otherwise engaged in conversation.

But maybe one of those friends would let him cut in line. Not that he actually would, but fun thought. Or at least keep him company while he waited.

Oh. And now a loud firstie. Firsties were so excited. Had she been that excited?? Probably not. But yes. This was adorable too though. Ugh. Adorable little ickles. She giggled at him. He was a bit of a know-it-all. Even at his age. "So what's your newt's name?" Noelle asked Derf, wondering if anyone here had anthing more exotic stored away. She reallllllly wanted to see a niffler or demiguise.
After seeing two first years, she was everso grateful to see two older students join the queue; albeit they were both in Noah's year, which meant she actually knew them. One being someone she'd seen quite a bit of over the summer and conveniently a newly badged person. She'd already of course, celebrated with Noelle.

A smile for both Henry and Noelle. Where was Noah anyway? She'd been with him not that long ago, but somehow he always seemed to have a knack for disappearing.

"Hey Skylar. Have you seen Hattie on the train?" Kat could give Skylar a cupcake too if she wanted one, they didn't talk a lot but she was a friend. "How was your summer?'
The line was moving up slowly. Skylar patiently waited as someone was talking to her; a girl she recognized mostly through Hattie which made sense since they were both Hufflepuffs. "Hi Kat...." she bit her lip and shook her head. "Not yet. She'll be here though." Cause like Hattie hadn't said anything about NOT returning; if she had to guess, it was the girl was saying her goodbyes to Frankie. This was after all, the first year her friend wouldn't have any siblings with her at Hogwarts and Sky wondered how she was handling it.

"My summer was alright, too short yet also too long," Sky laughed, wondering if that made the least bit of sense. "How about yours?"

He felt like he'd been on it for days now, even though he knew that wasn't the case. Then there was the fact that he'd seem like a total loser to make this whole train ride without a single piece of interesting candy to share it with. Everybody he saw up and down those corridors had candy with them, and Brent wanted some of it, too! So candy it would be.

Brent approached the line and found himself behind some girl he didn't know. That wasn't unusual for him, because he pretty much didn't know most people. Was she even in the line? "Is this the line?" he asked, coming to a stop beside her. She looked about his age, so he guessed he should probably say something other than asking her if she knew where the line was. "I'm Brent, by the way," he added, and then he followed that up with a flip of his hair and a hint of a smile.
Another newcomer approached the line, who looked to be NOT a first year, but also NOT a familiar face, which was strange. Although maybe not so, because while she'd been at Hogwarts two years already and had met many people, she'd definitely not met everyone. "Looks like a line to me," Skylar said, rather sarcastically. Oops. She probably should have withheld the sarcasm for just a bit longer. He was going to regret talking to her now, which would be a pity cause he was rather easy on the eyes.

"Nice to meet you, Brent. I'm Skylar." And did he just flip his hair? What was that? On second thought, maybe sarcasm WAS necessary. "First time to Hogwarts?"
