SPOILER!!: Nat and Xaviera

Kat hadn't even giving any thought about what candy she was going to get. She had cupcakes and cookies back in her compartment, so maybe she would go for some Bettie Botts, or licorice wands. Something sweet but not a lot like the baked goods she had waiting on her. Kat really did look up to Nat, they both played the piano, and she was a great help with lessons. So she was glad when she heard her summer was great.

"Mine was great too. I went to music camp, went on my first date, and turned fourteen." It was a really good summer. she had her friends over too and other things besides what she mentioned. Turning fourteen was her favorite part though, finally it was the bad thing about having a summer birthday, everyone had there birthday already.

Yep, She seen the head girl badge and she was super proud of her friend. It might come in handy to be friends with a student leader, especially having lots of friends in the head girls house. "Congrats. I'll try to behave. I can't promise anything." She was only teasing, of course. Kat was a good cookie... or cupcake. Speaking of those sweets. "I haven't really decided I have cookies and cupcakes in my compartment. you should come by and get some, too."

The fourth year smiled when she seen someone else join them, Xavieria. "Hey Xavieria, You should too I've got plenty of cookies and cupcakes." She didn't know Xavieria too well but was wheeling to share with the younger girl. She always had room for more friends,

But for now the newt was in the first year's enchanted trouser pocket as he bounced his way towards the trolley with an eager gleam in his eyes for some chocolate and to expand his Chocolate Frog card collection.

Upon seeing that there was already a crowd - apparently girls were really hungry on trains - Derf slowed his bounce to a walk and did not try at all to not eavesdrop conversation. "Head? Head of fhat?" he interrupted the group of girls. "Like a department head at fe Minis-s-stry? My dad us-s-sed to be one of fose! Accidents-s-s and Catas-strofee-s-s!"

HEDGEHOG?! Did someone just say hedgehog?!

"I like your hedgehog," he complimented the older girl. "Did you know fere are seventeen species of hedgehog in five genera?" Because there WERE. "I haf a pet newt. His-s-s name is Scamander...but he s-s-s-s-stays-s-s in my pocket mostly. S-Secretes too much around new people."

OH HEY! He knew that boy! The one he had met in the bookshop! What had his name been again? Derf scratched his head and tried to remember...but was drawing a blank. Still, he waved at him eagerly.

Was it his turn to pick what he wanted from the trolley yet? No? Okay. He was patient.

"Not sweeping enough makes-s-s you dumb and forgetful," he helpfully informed the boy who was yawning off to the side. "Mum always-s s-s-says s-so. You s-should nap." And not stand leaning against the wall because that was not a very helpful sleeping position either.

Turning his attention back to the line - was it his turn yet? - he noticed another girl who looked aooooooooout his age and he smiled at her. "Hi."

Still trying to decide what she was going to get, maybe she really didn't need to get anything with the cookies and cupcakes already in her compartment. BUT she still wanted candy....

Candy and bakedgoods were two totally different things....

Eppp! Kat looked up when she heard a commotion about heads and hedgehogs. Maybe it was al the cupcakes and cookies already consumed on the train ride, or the excited of a first year plus he was adorable, secretly Kat loved all of these new first years, or excitement of going back, or mention of hedgehogs. Whatever it was Kat threw her arms around him and hugged him

Well whatever had caused that random hug-a-thon with a random first year was over, and now Katerina was going get her candy and go. Or not. She had been looking for Hattie the whole train ride, she had a cupcake for her waiting on her. It was just the fourth years luck that she spotted Hattie's best friend, Skylar. She waved at her.

"Hey Skylar. Have you seen Hattie on the train?" Kat could give Skylar a cupcake too if she wanted one, they didn't talk a lot but she was a friend. "How was your summer?'

SPOILER!!: Henry

So Kat ended up getting MORE candy than she originally planned on. With arms full she was ready to head back to her compartment. Care to not drop any of it. She was doing good until she ran into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry. Here take this since I ran into you." Offering them a pack of candy.

She looked up to see Henry. [b]"Hey Henry!"[b] She seen him a few times over the summer, so she really didn't need to ask how he was. Though she didn't get to see him since she went to go see his quidditch match this summer when she went. "How are you?" She would just ask how he was doing at least for today.
