Xavvie loved being around pretty older girls because she felt like she had a lot of things to learn from them. And there was that girl she'd met last term on the swingset. That girl was super nice.

The new second year smiled at them all and tried not to be intrusive in their conversations while she decided what to buy.

He was distracted, though, when he got in line. First by the girl with the badge, because he knew that badge meant that she was important. He needed to make friends with important people, even if they were older girls. So he eyed her a bit to ensure that he'd remember what she looked like.

He was then distracted by the girl who had something that looked like an animal in her bag.

"What is that?" He asked, stepping closer to the girl.

But a voice asking what that was made Noelle curious. Looking behind her, she saw a guy with a hedgehog in her bag. No. Way. It made her miss Carlos. The hedgehog Sabbie had given her first year. He'd recently passed and Noelle had buried him on the farm. This was too cute. "You have a hedgehog!" Noelle cooed, mind currently away from the goodies of the cart.

Her eyes ventured up and saw several people behind her. She have a wave to them all. All younger than her it looked like. Did they see her badge?? Were any lions???

The short queue at the trolley seemed to be moving quickly enough, yet still Elle had felt eyes on her. Glancing up from her backpack, she saw Xavvie nearby and returned the smile. She wasn’t entirely certain if the younger Snake was smiling at her or someone else, but she hadn’t seen a reason not to. Not every Snake was stuck up after all, which she knew as a fact. She hadn’t honestly met too many who were. But anyway, the contemplation of who the smaller blonde was reacting to was distracted by the sound of a question coming from nearby. A question that she was almost certain was directed at herself, even if the asker hadn’t basically been moving right up next to her.

“Who? Marvin?,” she asked anyhow, just to make sure that was what he was referring to. The hedgehog in question had buried his nose into the crook of her arm as if to express his embarr5assment at being called a what either way, and she stroked his quills comfortingly. Moments from responding specifically, she was stopped by the words from the girl who she’d been standing behind. The Gryffindor prefect, apparently. Noelle. “I do,” she replied with a smile. It saved her from having to explain to everyone. She was half-expecting the older boy leaning against the wall to have suddenly asked about her pet as well. It was a hedgehog. It wasn’t as if Marvin was some exotic creature. They lived in a world with magical creatures after all. Why a hedgehog was so interesting she didn’t know.
