Either way, she figured she had money enough for snacks.

So... snacks were important. Liam had politely excused himself from his compartment and newly-found friend(s) in order to get snacks. Because he'd been not-smart and had packed his food in his luggage.

He needed cauldron cakes. Need, not want.

He was distracted, though, when he got in line. First by the girl with the badge, because he knew that badge meant that she was important. He needed to make friends with important people, even if they were older girls. So he eyed her a bit to ensure that he'd remember what she looked like.

He was then distracted by the girl who had something that looked like an animal in her bag.

"What is that?" He asked, stepping closer to the girl.
