Getting in line, Noelle pulled out her baggie and counted how much she had in it. Her mum had her on an allowance right now to "show her the value of a dollar". So she had to watch what she had. Her mom just didn't understand that books were necessary.

And so was candy.

She looked up to make sure the line was moving. Her mind went to what she wanted and what she could get with the money she had. A Bertie's box of course. That was traditional. And maybe a few licorice wands.
It wasn’t often that Elle would have thanked her sister’s occupation, but the fact Avalon had needed to work meant that she’d nearly gotten to come to the train on her own. Ashe didn’t really count, considering she’d left her at the entrance to the station and the blonde seventh year had gotten to the train on her own. Well, along with Marvin. The hedgehog had decided he had wanted to be free of the backpack once she’d gotten on the train, and she’d brought him with her to look for the trolley. Snacks were necessary. Snacks and perhaps locating a friend or two. She knew most of them were here somewhere.

Stepping into the line behind another girl, she shifted her hedgehog so she could investigate her wallet, inside her backpack. Of course she hadn’t left it behind in the compartment, even if that was possibly stupid. She figured it was just as stupid to leave her belongings behind, given the chance someone else might invade said compartment while she was at the trolley. Either way, she figured she had money enough for snacks.
