It was a joyous moment when Hadley realized that, yes, she can have sweets. She had given up on the idea of training herself to be an animagus, and decided she'd wait until she was old enough to be trained by someone that knew what they were doing. Either way, she wasn't training now, and had gone way to long without sweets. That meant one thing: splurge. Big time. She had lost time to make up for and really she only had a short window to make it up.

Humming Aerosmith's Dream On softly to herself, Hads threw a few more licorice wands into her basket and rounded the corner. Oooh! Chocolate Frogs! Yes, she couldn't forget about those.

Hadley made her way over to the display and took a few off the shelf. She didn't look at the boy standing beside her examining the rows of chocolate frog packets, but struck up a conversation anyway. "I remember the first time I had one of these. Scared the bejeezus out of me when it leapt out of the box."

She turned and looked at the boy for the first time and was surprised to find she recognized him. He was a Ravenclaw, few years ahead of her..."Oh, hey! Uh, Mason, right?"
