*does some more rearranging* Mention of Hady and the poltergeists as well! ♥s her SS family l Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler l Whittysaur l #awkwardturtle<# She was just setting in to eat her dinner when out of nowhere a piece of confetti landed on her plate. Rosalyn blinked, confused because the shower had stopped a few moments before. Picking up the piece of paper, she smiled. Glancing at Gaston, she beamed and returned the wave. He knew just how to make her feel much better! Rosalyn wanted to thank him, but that could wait a bit. They would talk more later since she didn't want to say things across half the table.
There was no way that Rosalyn was going to forget the girls day that she had planned with Laurel and Kay. They were going to have a blast shopping and gossiping. Get some lunch as well because no day out was complete without getting something to eat. "I'm totally up for more of these days out if Kay is." It would be a shock if that wasn't the case. Really she just wanted to spend time with them over the summer holidays. They had known each other from their Hogwarts days and were friends! "Oh, a wedding. Let's hope that it isn't as eventful as the last one." Unless in a GOOD way. The Piffy reception had been something else. "I'll be spending time with family too, of course I already do while I am at work." Dear Uncle Art. "I loved teaching too, though most students don't love my class." No worries since she knew that a lot of people considered history to be boring. At least they seemed to like HER.
Nodding, she listened to what Laurel told Roderik. It was true! "Yes, you really did your best. We all tried to help him as best as we could. Now all we can do is hope that things end up going better for Daxton. I think he will end up doing okay." At least that was what Rosalyn WANTED to think. It would make her sad to know that things didn't get any better for him. All he needed was more help. She understood that the boy had been HIS responsibility as Head of House, but he had done all he could. Anyway... "Germany sounds lovely. I've never been there before but I've read about it. What's your favourite thing to do there?" Maybe she could keep it in mind for if she ended up visiting! "Oh, I'm going to spend time with friends and family mostly." Other things as well, but she wasn't going to get into that right now.
For half a second Rosalyn wondered if she had somehow said something wrong to Kaysha since that wasn't the response that she had been expecting. She gave a sigh of relief when her friend caught on to the joke. Last thing she had wanted was for her friend to be annoyed with her for having a bit of fun! "So not this summer? I had been hoping that we could look at bridesmaid dresses while we are out with Laurel." Haha. At least she got to be Maid of Honor. That was something special! "Dang straight. I am going down that aisle in style." No better way to do that than on horseback.
It wasn't until half the food was gone from her plate that Rosalyn felt she could say something to the Headmaster. It wouldn't be right for him to leave without saying goodbye and thanking him for the wonderful year she had working with him. "It was wonderful working with you this term. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to. I wish you all the best." Things were going to continue looking up for him, she could sense it even if she wasn't a Seer.
Was Uncle Art seriously asking her if she was going to come by for a family dinner? Was that even a question? "Of course I will come by for dinner. I'll come for more than one if you want me to." And there was a little baby she needed to see on top of everyone else! "I think she will be more than ready for you. I think she's been wanting some grandpa time!" It was going to be so precious to watch. Rosalyn's heart was melting just at the thought. "I am doing great, Uncle Art. How about you? There is something I want to tell you but it will have to wait until later." Not like she wouldn't be seeing him over the summer.
There was an arrival to the table at that moment, and Rosalyn smiled as the Seventh Year talked to her uncle. "Hello, Miss Lynch. Congratulations on graduation and the best of luck to you in the future." It was sad to see students graduating, even ones that she hadn't gotten to know well. It was the hardest part of teaching, and something that she hadn't gotten used to even with her time at Durmstrang.
At that moment, something happened further along the table but Rosalyn missed it. What she hadn't missed, however, was the fact that there was ANOTHER poltergeist?! "Bloody brilliant. As if two weren't enough." As if on cue, Miffy chose that moment to come by. Stormy? What a sickingly sweet nickname. Rosalyn assumed that it meant the polter!child's name was Storm. "So it was him that set the owls loose. I had thought it was you or Peeves." Huh. So they hadn't been behind the latest batch of pranks after all?? Was that what she was saying? |
