Rooney and Hady Mischievous Niffler Instead of complimenting or insulting her, Rooney had instead opted for a diplomatic answer to her question. "Oh okay. Sometimes it's a mystery to me too. I think we all have great minds in one way or another, cause we're all Ravenclaws. Not that the other houses don't have great minds or anything." Maybe next term her mind wouldn't be such a mystery to him. His judgmental attitude would occasionally annoy her (like how he treated her friend Haddie) but personally over the past year she had come to like him.
Kitty let go as Hady ended the hug. She smiled weakly, barely keeping back the tears that she always had whenever one of her friends was leaving. She wasn't sad, as Hady was going to do what she wanted and she would be living nearby - she only felt tearful because she loved Hady and wouldn't be seeing her as often as she used to."We'll write all the time," she promised. "And I'll keep a lookout at Hogsmeade. Where are you vacationing?"
She stopped to listen to the Headmaster's speech, frowning as he announced his resignation. Why?! He had been such a cool headmaster, and Kitty had only gotten the chance to meet him once. She didn't know him well but she would definitely miss him too.
And then right as that speech concluded, Rooney let out the balloons. "What the -?" she sputtered as pink confetti fell all over them. For a wild moment she had thought that Miffy was involved but then she started reading the notes. "Awww Rooney, that's so sweet of you! Did Olivia know?" She turned around to look at the Gryffindor table. |
