Now obviously he and Genny hadn't done a thing, but he was still quite embarrassed, which rippled into him being irritated, which really just made him very ready to hex whoever this nosy, inconsiderate person was!

Honestly, and he'd just been easing into a good mood.

It was then that his eyes landed upon the ghost. "Really?!" Surely that fat friar hadn't giggled like that.

Genny pretended to not like that he moved closer again after shuffling away, but she did. This was why she picked Sam to be here with her, because even though he wanted to throw her to the quid in the lake once, he did care about their friendship. Good he proved he right, whew!

... was that him consoling her? Genny, who was determined to being upset with Sam now and giving him impossible rules, her frown eased instantly when he told her about those mysterious boys who looked at her fondly. Really? She looked at him carefully with a forced upset face. As opposed to smart as it was, she actually believed him. It did not occur to her that he could be saying that just to make her feel better. The fat friar was here too. Genny liked him a lot, he was sweet and looked so squishy it was a shame she couldn't touch him. However, he was here at such an inconvenient time. She watched him go in circles, never thinking about accusing him of this.
