Their fighting and bickering had been childish and silly but it had been the first clue to something more for them. At least it ended up perfectly and they were happy now even years later. "I know he's stubborn and he'll be alright." She would just have to keep telling herself this the entire first year Koen was away at Durmstrang. Speaking of their boy he got a smile from his mother as she watched him hold his baby sister.
Every chance that he got Koen held his baby sister. He might be a prankster or even a troublemaker at times but he was a good big brother. Not that he went around showing it much. With his arms held wide open the blonde boy accepted the weight of the small girl that was placed within them. His one arm cradled her tiny head and his other went lightly over her little legs so he could take her hand. Reagan was safe on his lap and would always be safe when with him. His blue eyes shone brightly as he looked down into his sisters face.
This was one of the reasons he loved his wife so much. She was always so understanding and wanting to spend time with her family. Connor laughed at her gasp. "A know-it-all,'' he confirmed. Really, he thought that a lot about her. He had hated to admit back then that she was smarter than him. It was his turn to gasp. "Me? Stuck up? Never!'' Actually, Connor had been pretty stuck up. "Thinking you're better than everyone else wasn't that wrong,'' he said in a low and amused voice. He didn't want Koen to hear him say that because he wasn't raising his son to be like he had been as a teen.
He set about spreading the picnic blanket, his eyes going to his kids once in a while. "He's good with her,'' the man observed to Addi. Reagan giggled, her little chubby arms raising up as she tried to reach her brother's face. She knew him too. She had seen him many times and she liked to be held by him also. She made baby noises as she still tried to reach his face. |
