Koen grinned putting a hand up to meet his fathers high-five. He might not really voice it much but he did like being a big brother, Reagan was adorable. Grabbing the blanket from the basket he shook it out and laid it under the tree. "Can I hold her?" He asked already having sat down on the blanket already.
Yes, he supposed Addi would be swamped with lots of work. There was only so much the person who was covering for her could do. "I'll help,'' Connor willingly volunteered. "Put it this way, if I do, I'll get to spend more time with you. Plus the work will finish faster.'' Both ways meant he'd get time with Addi. It was a win-win situation for the Slytherin.
Connor grinned impishly. "Yeah, I disliked you because you were always such a know-it-all.'' He laughed. How silly they had both been. But then he had started falling for her every time they got into an argument in his sixth year. "He'll be just fine. Like you said, he's our son. He'll make it through. It's just the first year will be the most difficult for us when he leaves.''
"Why not?'' Connor reached for baby Reagan carefully. She gurgled in that baby language as she was held and passed over to her big brother. Reagan cooed and gurgled. The big hands holding her were loving though she was unaware of that feeling. She just knew she liked being held by these hands. |
