Jedi Master•General Iroh•Java Junkie• King ♛ Stefan •Mycroft Holmes•Dragon Lord•Druid Boy Charles got himself a tired grin from Ryden as he sat back on his chair and gave his copy of the Daily Prophet a good stare down. “Soon, is apparently taking too long.” He murmured as he straightened up in his seat, and gave those who trailed after him a warm smile. Kendall, Regina, Katja, and Emily all got nods and greetings as they came in. ***
As soon as Erec started talking, Ryden unbuttoned his jacket, and quickly opened his journal to take down notes. Openness and working as big team? Ryden gave Erec a quick glance, and then immediately shifted it to the other employees present. Could that mean that they have a big mission coming up? He knew working in Level 5 was a tedious job, so what could possibly come up this time? Updates were being asked, and Ryden nodded in understanding when Erec mentioned Immigration matters. The newly promoted consultant hasn’t had the chance to see the division’s problem at a deeper level yet, so he opted to remain quiet for the time being. The 42 year old caught Claudette’s glance, and just like Charles, he encouraged the young woman to keep talking.
Ryden sat back, and relaxed a bit when Charles took the turn to speak. The blue-eyed consultant glanced up at the ceiling, as he tried to figure out the next possible steps for their department and the MLE. “We do have issues with Immigration, as what Miss Claudette has said earlier. Although these matters can be handled easily, I am inclined to tap the MLE when it comes to monitoring and tracking those who come and go in Wizarding Britain on a larger scale, most especially those who hold temporary visas.” He said as he leaned over the table giving the Immigration team a quick glance, and then to Erec. “Although there are no reports yet about massive illegal immigration, I suppose we can already come up with a plan to avert such crisis before it’s too late. To start things off, perhaps we can provide them with a list of illegal immigrants so they could add it in their watch list.” You know, make them do the legwork? Ryden wasn’t sure if his new team knew how an outdated database could screw up their border’s security. “Also, we might want to tap the Committee for Experimental Charms in Level 3 to help us come up with the right Tracking Spell? This should help the MLE, and us ultimately, in monitoring visa holders.” Ryden picked up his tumbler from the table and took a sip of his tea.
