Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Maddox blinked a time or two at the woman's question. First, because she spoke! Real words that didn't consist of unimpressed looks but vowels and consonants. Second, because of the nature of her question. The man cocked his head to the side in slight curiosity. Today? In case they were called out onto the field?

"Why?" He might have leaned forward in his seat but there was no need. "Are you saying that if the situation arose and you were in fact called into the field before receiving training by the end of today that you'd be ill prepared and unable to respond?" He wouldn't bet his hard earned galleons on that. With the exception of her, who he'd been the one to hire, the others had at least a year or two of Obliviator work under their belt. The training would be for sharpening skills already present. They wouldn't be learning something completely and incredibly novel. "Should we be stretched thin, the Junior Obliviators won't be sent out on their own, that's negligent, even for me. If nothing else, we may be able to pool some assistance from Law Enforcement. It's very likely they'll already be present." In short, he wasn't worried. Nah, worrying was a whole lot more work than he bargained for on the first day back, especially over something with an easy fix.

"I'd be more than happy to arrange separate training for you before the end of work today if you're feeling a bit uncertain about going out into the field but I'd like to assume the returning employees know enough that should a dragon tear through London, they'll be on it in a pinch." It was good she'd thought to speak up. He'd never know she had this apprehension; not by the occasional glower.

"My office is always open." The man rose with something of a stretch. "Stop by the moment you're free."
