Hearing Hadleigh 's praise - thank you, by the way - but still a bit to wide eyed and deaf from her heart pounding in her ears thanks the image of one of her classmates being on fire to properly react. Something she would feel bad about later, no doubt, not even uttering a soft 'thank you' in reply. The Hufflepuff's words may not have been heard over the roar of the Gryffindor anyway.

Squeaking when she saw the flames extinguish but water not ceasing - hello there Paige, you needed to do something about that - she gave her wand another flick to cast Finite and stop the steady jet of water from all but drowning her classmate. "OHMYGOSHAREYOUALRIGHT?!" she asked after rushing over to the younger student's side. Between the fire and the water and everything? She WAS in training for healing and...on thank Merlin it looked as though the flames had not yet licked his scalp. Just his hair...and...oh...um...well...there were potions to deal with hair growth...and really that bald spot wasn't all THAT noticeable...

...was it?
um.................
"NO!" she assured him with some rapid shaking of her head. "Aguamenti won't hurt them...and you are very much alive as well."

And then there was some profuse blushing happening thanks to Professor Myers calling her an enthusiastic hero...which was hardly synonymous with the words she would have chosen in that moment to describe herself. "I...um..." Cue the flustered big blue eyed Hufflepuff look. She was still registering a few thoughts and steadying her heart when her Head of House made a request of her. "Oh, sure thing, professor," she nodded, overJOYED at the distracting that finishing up the planting process provided - even if it meant she was somewhat missing the next set of instructions by the Herbology professor.

Bringing her own finished pot with her, Paige used her hands once again to scoop the plant out of the ground. Working much more quickly this time because Professor Myers had opted to use Aguamenti, although something she was comfortable with now that she had gone through the replanting process once with her own plant, the seventh year place the fire rose into Professor Myers' chosen pot and began scooping up soil with her bare hands and gently patting it down. She could feel the glow on her cheeks returning to the roses, the gentle heat warming her cheeks like smirk of a certain WADA student so often did, and Paige readied her wand as she quickly finished up. Just in time as well seeing as no sooner had her left hand left the pot the roses came ablaze once again. Calmed down enough to focus, Paige cast gentle Aguamenti's at the soil in both pots to water the roses and then set to casting a Flame-Freezing Charm on the one belonging officially to Professor Myers. "Here you go, professor," she smiled as she brought his pot back over to him and offered it back with a bit of an eager bounce as she really wanted to get her hands on the Floo Flowers next.

Although the instructions to wear gloves was a little...well...not being able to feel the texture of the petals with her fingers was a disappointing.

"I'm fineeeeeee and you need to chill out!" Matt told the crazy Hufflepuff he didn't really know as he rolled in the puddle she had created. More like a lake, really. Lies. If it felt anything like a lake he would NOT be there. Still. SO MUCH WATER! And bald spot? He was oblivious to that.

He wasn't sure how to respond to her remark about him being alive - um... he knew? Lol, crazy AND literal! - so he gave her a confused look that turned into an amused smirk. "I am indeed, thanks to YOU!" He would leave out the fact she almost drowned him, 'cause, y'know, Matt knew she was just trying to help. Lol. Besides, he was just exaggerating anyways since he knew that was nothing like drowning for real. Oh, he KNEW, alright.

Aaaand she was off to continue to be a teacher's pet and as Matt hadn't really paid attention to the instructions, he followed along. She was too careful and sloooooooowwwwwwwwwww for his liking, so he started to rush the process.

One, two, three... ohwait, the petals shouldn't be from the same flower... wasn't that what professor Myers had said at some point? Matt could recall as if in a dream.

...

Oh well. Four and five petals from the SAME flower. No biggie. It wasn't like it was going to DIE, was it?

Now what? He just stood there with the five petals on the palm of his gloved hands. OH, RIGHT!

CRUSH 'EM! RAAHH!! Matt liked that part. He grabbed a mortar and pestle like his other classmates were doing, chucked the petals in the mortar and started the crush crush crushing process.
