"At least...it's what I've included as a detail in the series I've been working on." Of course, she did not know whether or not this mirror had been at Hogwarts since its founding days - likely not the case - but it was still nice to keep some familiar elements in her writing. Even if it also meant constant revision as she came to understand certain elements of the genre on a more personal level. "First time I saw this mirror I thought it was the Mirror of Erised, back when I was a first year I mean. Bit disappointed when it turned out not to be the case."
Nodding, Paige got a bit more comfortable on he floor and hugged her knees to her chest so she could more easily rest her chin on them. "If you want to talk, I'll listen," she added softly. Although she was sure that the Slytherin already knew that about her, but still the offer stood.
Curious about the particular spell Nat had elected to cast, Paige watched as something shot out and ricochet against the surface of the mirror and riiiiiiiiight smack back towards the seventh year and striking her square between the eyes.
Flop. Down went Paige. Paige was writing a series? That was very interesting and she wondered if it was any good. "When you have it done I'd love to read it." Though she could wait until it was published and buy it in the store she guessed. Though if Paige needed any help she could always try to be of assistance. Her mind was focused on the mirror, but Paige's story was starting to become a distraction with the questions she was thinking. "Oh" That mirror was one she'd never want to come across, "I'm glad it isn't. I'm not sure I truly want to see what it would show me." She knew it was to show what you truly desire, so of course she knew her mother, happy and actually loving Nat would be in there and Joe would be in it as well. No, that would not help her emotionally at all, so to never find that mirror would be a good thing.
She hadn't noticed at first that the spell hit Paige, she was not happy that it didn't work on the mirror. The book said it was an unstick charm so why wouldn't it work. UGh, she was just horrible at spells was the problem. She knew it was. "I know you listen Paige, you really helped me with that dream... " Her sentence left unsaid when she turned and saw Paige laying on the floor and that's when she realized. "Paige... Paige..." Nope, she didn't just kill another student. Nope her wand did not just harm someone. She tossed her wand on the floor as she hurried and bent down to Paige. "Wake up, you are okay, right? come on Paige." Shaking her shoulders a bit she tried to get her to wake up.
She looked around, "HELP.. Someone!!!"
