Although bottling sunshine had it's appeal for hopeless romantic reasons and pure sap. Hmmm...

Pondering this, tapping her lips with her wand, she turned her attention back to the Ravenclaw and offered him a small smile. "Putting that sort of pressure on yourself doesn't help to start," she said with a small smile as she flourished her wand and performed the Impervius Charm on him. "So taking some of the pressure off yourself, not thinking in terms of should but rather reminding yourself of your potential helps..." She was rambling a bit here, but also thinking aloud about her own struggles with spellwork. "I struggle with Transfiguration spells, particularly those involving conjuration, so I really have to buckle down and focus on the visualization aspect of spell casting, but even then not always successful." Sometimes magic just...resonated with you differently than other branches and it wasn't an indication of anything being wrong with you. "Try visualizing yourself performing a spell successfully before casting. It can help, even if not right away."

Sunshine. Paige was going to go with the option of bottling up sunshine. It reminded her a bit of old pictures she had seen of her step father bottling up fireflies and keeping them in a jar for their gentle glow. Seemed the sort of thing that would make for a nice decoration for her and Eureka's dorm room.

Clutching her bottle, Paige pulled her chair out and away from her desk towards the open area of the classroom and took a seat. Rolling her shoulders and making sure she had a desirable about of room, she tucked the bottle between her legs and held it firmly in place. Unscrewing the cap, Paige held it in her left hand while flexing her fingers around her wand. Repeating the incantation to herself, Paige went through the motions a few times - performing the wand movement and capping the bottle as quickly as possible - the seventh year felt she had the timing down well enough to give it a go.

"Solis lucidem," she said clearly, her wand pointed confidently into the jar. Counting three hippogriffs silently in her head, about the time that it took for the charm to pour itself out of her wand, Paige quickly switched out the tip of her wand for the cap and successfully trapped her enchanted sunshine in the bottle.

Glancing up, Paige tried to catch the professor's attention with a bit of well timed eye contact. "Professor? How do our creations today differ from products like those found in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes'....Weasleys' Wet Weather and Sunny Spells, for example? Are our bottled charms a more purer form of magic?" Considering that Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes' were known joke products- powerful enchantments to be sure, but still joke products.

It was almost the end of class when Miss Skeeter's voice caught Gaston's attention; he turned to face the Hufflepuff girl. "Great question!" he said. "Yes, somewhat. The spells we've been using are a simpler form of magic than that used in Weasleys' products, thus they deliver a higher concentration of weather but to a much smaller area than their store-bought counterparts."

He glanced at his watch again and saw it was time for class to be over. "Excellent effort, everyone! You've all done a fantastic job today!" he said, beaming at his students. "If you didn't get a chance to finish, don't worry; points will be given based on effort. For those of you who wish to try the other spell and didn't get a chance, you may take one of the extra bottles with you to practice it on your own time." Was there any other information he needed to pass along? No, good. "Class dismissed!"

OOC: Thank you so much for coming to my first ever lesson! I'll leave the thread open for a few more hours for those who want to post their charries leaving.
