He kept his eyes fixed on one point, and continued in his attempts to ignore the nauseating decor of the room creeping into the periphery of his vision.

In the end, he gave one simple shrug of his shoulders. A useless answer to a useless question, but Daxton doubted that Hirsch cared how well he was coping at all.

No, not doubted. He downright did not believe it.
