Zach felt more delighted than ever and he just had to cover this up.
As long as he wasn't disturbing Ansley, he was glad to hang around for a few more minutes. The man was still determined not to occupy too much of Ansley's time. "Possibly I will. I'm not fussy though. I've learnt that the persons you're closest to can hurt you a lot.'' He hated that and wasn't keen on making too many friends until he really knew them. With the exception of Ansley. There was something different about him, Zach could tell.
He sat there for a few more more minutes taking in the peacefulness of everything. He didn't feel awkward sitting there momentarily in silence as he usually would. But then he decided he had to be going. There was that book he wanted to finish reading. "I'll see you for our lessons, Ansley. I'll leave you to your sketch and maybe you can show it to me on Thursday.'' Ansley tilted his head slightly as he looked at Zach throughout their conversation. It definitely sounded like there was a story behind his words, something that happened in his past. But he wasn't sure he wanted to pry. He certainly didn't know Zach that well. "That can happen sometimes," he nodded in agreement. He did know that from personal experience as well, though he was sure many people probably did. "But not always. There are plenty of good people around too."
Though there was a quiet few moments between them, Ansley did not really feel as though it was awkward silence. He was comfortable enough and he looked out at the small pond, sort of wishing he had brought bread to toss out for the few geese that were there. But he looked back at Zach as the other man suddenly spoke again. "Oh.. yes, of course," he smiled and gave him a nod. "I don't want to keep you. I'll see you Thursday then." And maybe he'd finish the sketch or maybe he'd attempt something else. It all just decided where his muse ended up.
