She was kinda tired and out of breath when she turned around to look at everyone else! Eek! Was Paige okay? She took a step forward in order to protect
the Hufflepuff girl when Jace cast the protection spell on her. Way to go best friend!

She nodded as he asked if she wanted to help out. "Of course I want to help, " She said as she turned to face the glass golem and nodded as he spelled out his plan.. but she didn't know Oppugno! Oh.. wait he was explaining it to her.

The Ravenclaw girl nodded carefully as she heard him speak, taking in every word he said. Think hard on the intent.. got it. Despite her surroundings she closed her eyes and slowly tried to center herself.. thinking hard on helping her friends and on the spell. She pointed her wand at the Glass Golem and pictured the rocks hitting it. It was okay to hurt it.. so she didn't feel too bad using the spell.

She bit her lip a little as she concentrated.. her eyes still closed as she kept picturing the rocks hitting the glass Golem!

"Oppugno!" She said as she opened her eyes and smiled as she saw parts of the stone Golem hitting the glass one! Sure they were little but she had done it!

"I did it!"

YAS!

Letting out a whoop of joy, the Gryffindor took a moment to twirl and then hip bump her fellow Gryffindor...as well as nudging Katy's shoulder! "Congrats, guys!"

.... BUT... there was still more to do and Liv felt so good after this victory that she wanted to help the others with the remaining Golem. So, who was closest?? Hmmm...

Glass Golem, it was then.

Darting over, she shouted out, "Hey, what do you guys need me to--" Well, that question was a stupid one, as it was quite clear what exactly they were (and were going to be) doing. Or rather, what Jace was directing them to do. They were basically utilizing her own defeated Golem, which was super smart! Ravenclaws. Olivia truly adored them and their smartness. It was wonderful.

Right, so... she needed to focus on where she wanted the rocks to go, and how hard she wanted them to be propelled. And it made sense as the phrase 'Don't throw stones in glass houses...' was appropriately flashing across her mind.

"Oppugno!" ATTACK! ATTACK, MY PRETTIES!

No sooner had Paige stepped out to join in battle had one of the golem's decided to fixate its attention on her with one of its massive glistening hands reaching out towards her. Paige just had enough of a reflex to leap to the side, and hopefully out of the way, when the Ravenclaw's spell hit her and provided her with a shield - which would come in handy should her athleticism have failed her...which was very likely.

"Thank you," she called over her shoulder to the boy, gripping her wand tightly in her hand, the seventh year's reflexes were telling her to cast something back at the golem. Which she of course knew was the foolish thing to do. But...glass...how to defeat glass...nothing with the elements would corrode it...unless the floor was heated beyond belief and it stood still long enough for its feet to melt down. But that was something to be used on ice...much more efficient. Break the legs, or a leg, and bring it down? That could be down if they...were to trip it?

Which meant conjuring rope...oh Merlin. Last time she had done that she had bound herself in rope rather than the target itself...

But then there were stones being hurtled at the golem by the pair of Ravenclaws and Gryffindor, giving the Hufflepuff an idea. One that involved charms which meant that she was more likely not to mess something up. Swallowing, Paige thrust her wand in the direction of the incoming stones and cast a few silent Growth Charms in their direction, doubling...tripling...and even in a few cases quadrupling the stones' sizes.

This was better...hopefully...still...she was ready to make a break for it should the golem retaliate in her direction.

As it was, she was still fully not intending on letting the golem’s arms get anywhere close to her, nor was she intending on hitting the ground. Once again, she was planning on utilizing her dance ability in that regard, and that had meant she was paying a lot more attention to the golem than she was anything else. Anyone else. Meaning she hadn’t acknowledged that the stone golem had been defeated and suddenly Jace and Azura and Olivia were pelting the glass golem with bits of the other golem.

Plus, she’d mentally instructed Paige to just get back behind the safe zone. The girl could still enlarge the stones from behind the line, and in some ways Brooklyn resented the assumption she needed help. The golem hadn’t really gotten that close to her, after all. Okay, there had been the shield spells from Echo and others involved, but she’d been the one to down the golem. Shield spells didn’t do that. Shield spells hadn’t created those cracks.

Flicking her wand around, she silently levitated the tin of green paint and directed it over the golem’s head. She didn’t know if covering the inscriptions in paint would work, nor if swallowing the paint would destroy the shem, but it would be amusing to watch. Moving the levitated paint tin was easy enough, given the practice from the charms challenge last term, even with the stones being tossed as well, and she’d let it tip over once it was in place before just letting her charm drop and watching the entire tin fall toward the golem’s head. If anything, they’d definitely know where it was by the time she was done.

Just as the glass golem was reaching to the Hufflepuff (Paige), it felt its hand hit a shield, a barrier to its target. It let out a small roar and tried to grapple at the girl but no luck.

During this, the glass golem didn't pay attention to its surroundings. If only one stone was attacking it, it would've taken a long time for the glass golem to break. But as it were, the combined efforts of the Ravenclaws and Gryffindor caused it to shatter and break upon contact. Add in the Slytherin's levitating paint trick and the glass golem was unable to stay hidden. A sure target.

The Hufflepuff's effort made matters worse for the golem: bits of its face and body shattered completely and started raining down on the students. Better make sure you're covered.
The Ravenclaw gave Paige a quick bow of his head in acknowledgement, and gestured her to pay attention to the glass golem up front. Granted that she’s a senior student, she would know a better spell to defeat the glass golem. As for the third year, he could only manage to use the broken elements around them and utilize it to their advantage. Jace was impressed however, when Paige performed the Engorgement Charm on their rocks while it was in motion. Now that, is skill ladies and gentlemen.

Jace nodded in approval as he witnessed Azura learn and execute the Oppugno Jinx. She was a fast learner and the Ravenclaw was truly proud of her. “That’s it! Keep it going!” The Ravenclaw almost bounced on his feet in delight but stopped when Olivia came to the party. Jace opened his mouth to respond, but the Gryffindor was quick to pick up the idea. The Ravenclaw watched her, and was amused at her vigor. Letting out a chuckle, Jace pointed his wand at the glass golem once more and directed more rocks to smash it. “Oppugno!”

The Ravenclaw wanted to retrieve the shem so badly, but had to retract his wand arm when he saw the chunks of glass started to pelt towards their feet. That...can’t be good. Jace lifted his arm to raise the jinx, but as if reading his mind, Professor Hirsch stepped it to end the class. Barriers were put in place to encase the active golems and Jace heaved a sigh of relief.

The Ravenclaw unceremoniously flopped on the floor as the professor gave his closing remarks. Would he like to learn how to animate his golem?! Hirsch didn’t have to ask. In fact, he was going to skip lunch today to head towards the library to read more about them. He wouldn’t want to rely on the Defense professor fully. He would love to contribute something somehow. Pocketing the shem from their defeated golem, Jace stood up and joined everyone in thanking Mr. Toussaint.

As soon as the applause died down, Jace then turned to his fellow students and gave them all a bow. “Thanks for helping out. You all did well.” He said giving them all a sheepish grin. He’s used to working alone, but he thought getting help from his peers wasn’t so bad.

“Thanks for the fun activity, Professor Hirsch. Erm...I’ll stop by your office soon? I’d like to learn more about golems...and...yeah.” he said bowing to the man, his cheeks turning pink as he did so. He knew he’d be a bother, so it was best to just quickly let the man know he’ll be bugging him soon and followed everyone out the door.

Awkward turtle right there.
